Event Highlight: “Faster Than COVID!”
The new COVID-19 variant emerging in the UK was reported to have a transmission rate up to 70% faster, and evidence showed that it had also reached Vietnam, spreading at an extremely rapid pace.
However, with strong determination and effective measures, the Vietnamese Government worked tirelessly to contain and control the outbreak at a speed faster than the virus itself.
Inspired by the same spirit of urgency, determination, and resilience, the people of Phuong Anh have continuously pushed forward with rapid and accelerated construction progress.
The remarkable Tra Ly Bridge Project, featuring the largest balanced cantilever span of 135 meters in Northern Vietnam and the second largest in Vietnam (after Cua Dai Bridge with a 150-meter span), has reached the final stage of construction — bridge closure (closure of the main span).
Commenced in April 2020, during the peak period of the COVID-19 outbreak, the project was completed after only 9 months of construction. Compared with similar bridge projects, which typically require approximately 3 years for completion, we are proud to have delivered this engineering achievement with a construction speed comparable to Vietnam’s rapid COVID-19 response and contact tracing efforts.
Despite facing numerous challenges and difficult working conditions, the project site maintained absolute safety standards throughout the entire construction process.
We would also like to wish everyone good health, safety, and resilience as we overcome this challenging pandemic period together.
