Raw Water Pipeline Project from Dau Tieng Reservoir to Ho Chi Minh City
The Dau Tieng Reservoir Raw Water Transmission Pipeline Project to Ho Chi Minh City is a key water supply infrastructure project with strategic significance in ensuring a stable and reliable water source for Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces. The project is developed to effectively utilize water resources from Dau Tieng Reservoir, meeting future socio-economic development needs and population growth.
The pipeline system is designed with a water extraction and transmission capacity of up to 1,350,000 m³/day (equivalent to 15.63 m³/s), supplying raw water to Tan Hiep Water Plant and Kenh Dong Water Plant, thereby enhancing water supply capacity for the Southern region.
As a Group A, Grade I construction project, the project has a total investment value of approximately VND 14 trillion and passes through Tay Ninh Province, Binh Duong Province, Binh Phuoc Province, and Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon completion, the project will strengthen inter-regional water supply infrastructure connectivity, ensure water security, improve living conditions for local communities, and establish a solid foundation for sustainable development.
