Thai Binh – Ha Nam Connecting Road Project to Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway

The Thai Binh – Ha Nam Connecting Road Project to Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway is a key transport infrastructure project with strategic significance in strengthening connectivity between Thai Binh Province and the national expressway network.

The project contributes to the completion of the transportation infrastructure system in the Red River Delta region, creating momentum for socio-economic development, attracting investment, and enhancing regional transportation capacity.

The project was implemented across Hung Ha District, Dong Hung District, and Quynh Phu District, Thai Binh Province, with the objective of developing a modern route directly connecting to the Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway. The project significantly reduces travel time between Thai Binh and major economic centers such as Hanoi, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, and neighboring provinces.

Upon completion, the route has facilitated trade activities, improved goods transportation, and supported the development of industrial zones, urban areas, and service sectors in the region.

With a scale of a Grade I transport infrastructure project – Group A project classification, a designed speed of 100 km/h, and a total length of more than 26 km, the project was developed with synchronized infrastructure components, including road foundations, pavement structures, bridge systems, interchanges, drainage systems, lighting systems, and traffic safety facilities in accordance with current technical standards.

The project ensures long-term, safe, and efficient operation, contributing to improving the quality of local transportation infrastructure.

With a total investment value of approximately VND 4,721 billion, the project not only delivers significant transportation benefits but also expands economic development opportunities, promotes regional connectivity, reduces logistics costs, and enhances the competitiveness of Thai Binh Province.

At the same time, the route contributes to strengthening national defense and security, improving emergency response capabilities, and supporting disaster prevention and mitigation activities in the region.

To date, the project has been completed and put into operation, effectively connecting with the national transportation network, promoting socio-economic development, and contributing to the realization of a synchronized and modern transportation infrastructure system in the Red River Delta region.
